The Taisui deity, known as the “Great Year God” in Taoism, is commonly referred to as “Taisui” or Grand Duke. The Grand Duke is the incumbent deity among all the deities, responsible for overseeing the fortune and misfortune of the mortal world for a particular year.
Due to the high status and importance of the Taisui deity, people hold great reverence for him. To avoid offending the Taisui deity, it is customary to make offerings, worship, and pay respects during the Chinese New Year in early spring, especially in years that conflict with the deity.
Everyone has a different birth chart, which is affected yearly by the stars orbiting directly opposite Jupiter, following a 60-year cycle. In addition to your year of birth, the characteristics of your birth chart may also bring conflict with the Grand Duke, causing distress, accidents, and turbulence in your love life and career.
The Grand Duke talisman acts as an annual pass, granting protection and aid/approval from the Grand Duke in that particular year.
